power supply - Voltage regulator from 24v to 3.7v

I need to build a simple voltage regulator that can drop voltage from 24V(from a DC power supply) to 3.7V and supply at least 2A or more(up to 5A if possibile).

Can I just use a 2 resistor voltage devider? Or should I use a voltage regulator?
