I want to build a steplizer transformer to generate 3kv. I understand the principal of turns ratio in a transformer, but don't understand the optimal amount of turns. How many turns required to give best voltage and current. How would I optimize this?
Here is what I have so far for my physical dimensions:
Core ID - 86mm (8.6cm) OD - 170mm (17cm) H - 66mm (6.6cm)
Wire D - 3mm
